Using this site

Sleep Sums provides free dog and cat calculators for educational and informational use. No account or sign-up is required, and there is no charge to use any page on this site.

Not medical advice

The calculations on this site use standard, published sleep-science guidelines (National Sleep Foundation and AASM sleep-duration consensus, 90-minute cycle timing, the caffeine half-life, circadian re-entrainment rates), not original research or a clinical sleep assessment. They are estimates, not medical advice. Chronic insomnia, suspected sleep apnoea, or sleepiness that affects safety are reasons to see a doctor; do not use any number from this site in place of that.
